Yu-Be Body Lotion

For most people, with winter, comes indoor heating. With indoor heating, comes dry skin. This is a problem for me year after year. I have very sensitive skin and most lotions end up either causing me to break out, or making me very itchy. I discovered this Japanese lotion from a sample from Sephora and loved it. I put off buying it for a little while because it is quite expensive ($29 for a 300ml bottle) , but I finally splurged and I have to say, it is worth every penny. This stuff has done wonders for my skin. I usually don’t believe in skin products. I don’t think they work very well and am always disappointed by the results. I end up not using them and throwing them away. But this lotion makes my skin so soft and lovely that I think I have finally found something that is not a complete waste of money. It is buttery and smooth to apply and doesn’t leave me feeling greasy afterwards. It has a refreshing menthol-esque scent that is not too overpowering, but leaves me feeling clean instead of sticky and overly sweet smelling. It even works better than Khiel’s, which has been my only option for years. I would highly recommend investing in some.  I haven’t tried any of their other products, but am very inclined to.

I got an email from a friend asking for some advice on how to wear some Nine West lace up booties that she had purchased. She was looking for a look that was both laid back and classy while also being a little badass. I came up with three different looks she could potentially try. I tried to incorporate some of her own personal style while also injecting a few Striped Olive inspired pieces. She and I have a similar body type, on the shorter side with just the right amount of curves, so it was super easy to find stuff that would fit her in the right ways.
The first look I created is punk meets pretty. This is my eternal vision of my friend’s style. She was one of the first people I knew to pair pink and black. This would be a cute look for a concert or a date or out to a fancy dinner. It could even be worn in the day time out to a museum or fancy lunch.pretty in pink

The next look is a little more casual. Good for a night out on the town with her friends. With booties like that, one needs to wear skinny jeans. These pants are good because the waxed texture adds an extra dimension to the outfit. The neutral palate allows you to go a little more crazy with the accessories.out and aboutJ brand skinny jeans, $388, Nine West 2 high heels, $97, H&M leather clutch, $15, Mango oversized ring, $23, Miss Selfridge bangle bracelet, $14, Lanvin multi chain necklace, $910

This third outfit is a look she could wear every day. the blue and yellow tones compliment each other without looking too “Go Blue!”. The scrunched up socks and skinny jeans over the booties will balance out her hips while playing them up an accentuating her sexy curves!
